Irish Pavillion - Expo 2000, Hanover.
This 30m "glass box" was built as an extension to the Irish Pavilion at Expo 2000 in Hanover to function as a bar. It was constructed with the latest "anti-sun" glass which the manufacturer claimed needed no extra shading protection. When it was discovered that the temperature of the Guinness being served at the bar was above an acceptable temperature.
The Reflex-Rol units installed at the Irish Pavilion were fully motorised and the client full shading adjustment control. The degree of clarity in outward vision achieved, while optimising glare and heat reflection, is an ample demonstration of Reflex-Rol's G1915 high capacity reflectors effectiveness.
The problem was solved when the organisers installed Reflex-Rol G1915 high capacity reflectors. Thereafter, the "heads" on every pint of Guinness served stayed up saving Ireland 's national pride.
