Dick de Leeuw brought the Reflex-Rol high performance roller blind system to the UK in 1986. For over 25 years his company has sold the product on its technical performance and its ability to ‘problem solve’.

Some 10 years later the Mermet brand of technical performance fabrics was added to the company’s portfolio. Both products being sold by making their benefits known to the specifying market.

Now involved with both the British Blinds and Shutters Association (BBSA) and the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO) it becomes increasingly apparent how disjointed our industry is and how this leads to it being ill-informed or even miss-informed.

This blog is set up with the hope that we can get the industry at least talking on a number of key topics. Please do not hesitate to join the debate and why not even suggest further topics.
